Martin's Lyrics

Ian has been kind enough to describe me as a songwriter and musician. If you want to hear some of my stuff go to waterheartsong's channel on youtube. Here's some of my lyrics:

Julia, you are beautiful to me,
Your eyes they shine like sparklers,
And your smile is warm and free,
You are high and lifted up,
You're a star in your own way,
And you raise my flagging spirits every day.

That one's about Julia Roberts. Here's one about Kate and my unrequited love:

A girl I met once long ago,
I thought she was the one for me,
A circus child, so insecure,
Behind outrageous vanity.
But I couldn't touch her,
Make her happy inside,
No I couldn't kiss her,
So she'd fall into my arms,
And be with me.

Thanks for your attention.

Martin's ' Cat Radio ' Playlist 14/10/10; 6 - 7 p.m.

Here's part II of my playlist:

  1. Joseph Haydn - Symphony No. 88
  2. Norma Winstone - Distances
  3. Thelonious Monk - In walked Bud
  4. Wolfgang Mozart - Piano Sonata K. 570
  5. Nat Adderley - The work song
The piano sonata is played by the great Japanese pianist Mitsuko Uchida and will probably be the highlight of my set.
